Thoughts:
As expected of the author Fei Wo Si Cun, also known as “Step-mom”, we get much angst and tragic feels from this story. The story starts off with a rather cheerful protagonist who did what she want despite not being favored in the palace and we gradually see the two leads come closer together. There are some foreshadowing here and there in the story, so we gradually learn about the backstory of why she has come for a marriage alliance. At one point in the story, it will be a flashback as to how everything happened. As for the ending, I guess you can somehow guess from the tag and from the author. It was rather memorable for me.
